Building adutux From Source Code

FOR THE TECHNICALLY PROFICIENT ONLY
You will need the source files for your kernel version. Install them from the SRPMS of your distribution disks or download them from elsewhere on the web.
I usually get the kernel source code from kernel.org and build the entire kernel.

The 2.6 kernel source is constantly changing. New releases of the adutux driver are provided when inconsistencies are reported. However due to the limited user base of adutux this reporting can be sporadic. We cannot fix what we are unaware of.

1. Download the adutux source code. If your specific kernel version does not appear in the list, try using the closest match.
   version 0.0.5 initial public release
   version 0.0.6 Sept 26, 2005 for kernel 2.6.13.4
   version 0.0.8 Nov 23, 2005 for kernel 2.6.14.2
2. gunzip the file and follow the instructions in the readme.txt file.

The preferred approach is to build adutux.ko from within your kernel source tree.
